I love building things from scratch So from working in the banking, engineering and construction sectors,to bringing my family's business from the Niger Delta to the capital city Abuja, I have been able to leverage on my vast experiences in these sectors and organizations , and also, look for unique ways to solve problems around me turning them into community empowering opportunities.

My late dad-who was a brilliant electrical engineer-always told me that engineers are first and foremost, problem solvers. My strong analytical and problem skills are all thanks to an extensive education and training in electrical, electronics and computer engineering giving me the ability to always look for innovative ways to make existing systerms and processes simpler and more efficient.

One of my course mates at Harvard once asked me if I ever considered relocating to the states after my on going masters degree and my answer was no. I do not mind travelling for education or work experiences abroad but I firmly believe that there are so many opportunities in Africa, particularly Nigeria, hence my passion and commitment towards being afro-centric in all my professional and career endeavours.

I was offered the opportunity to work with the biggest tax and financial agency in the public sector of the country, the Federal Inland Revenue Service FIRS. Working as one of the assistant managers in the ICT department, I worked as the service delivery manager for Mabushi Medium & Small Tax Office. I later worked as the head of the TaxProMax desk for the branch office as well

Driving Social Impact: Chivian Foundation

Every business organization is localized in one community or another and so regular engagement with these stakeholders is key. I initiated the idea for Chivian Foundation a private charity. The main objective of the foundation is to empower every member of our community with basic digital and tech skills, awareness, and a network of mentors needed to stay relevant in the fourth industrial revolution.

Pipeline Maintenance: Nigerian Gas Company

I worked on procuring this project from the Nigerian Gas Company which is a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC. The project involved the painting of the Ugbegun-Ajaokuta gas pipeline situated in Kogi state. I was in charge of facilitating ample community engagement to ensure approval of access to site permit.

After a very competitive enterprise sales cycle deal of about five months our firm, under my leadership leveraged on power business development pipeline and eventually  won the proposal which mandated us to import and supply all the sanitary wares for the completion of the Casalinda Hotel and Gallery Resorts, Abuja

Building International Business Relationships: Canton Fair 

As a director of an engineering company that also specializes in the distribution of business supply and heavy equipment, the importance of building international business relationships, especially with companies who undertake large manufacturing activities, cannot be over-emphasized. I have attended the canton fair on numerous occasions where I was able to meet a lot of companies in the same place on a short time duration. building lasting business partners and relationships.

I played a leading role in liaising with a company in the UK, Mac'Ants group that specialises in the manufacture and distribution of industrial equipment, for the procurement of wet blast machines and accessories for a client Opanil Limited. Opanil is a Nigerian indigenous company which provides top quality services for the oil and gas and manufacturing industries.

Launching A New Company Branch: Chivian, Abuja 

I love to build things from scratch and so leveraging on my growing business network and experience in the real estate and construction, I established a new branch of a 27-year old family business in the capital city of Nigeria. This new branch was concentrated on engineering and industrial services, business supplies and equipment.

Working with this construction company introduced me to the world of enterprise sales involving multiple stakeholders. I worked with the business development team on a contract which involved the renovation of a central bank office, and I participated developing the business pipeline, writing proposals, negotiations and finally closing the business deal.

Excellent customer service will always be one of the critical competitive advantages for any organization. And so while working as a 'front line officer' for one of the biggest banks in Africa, whose main business objective is exceptional service delivery, I learnt to have a keen sense of empathy, making customers feel truly listened to and not simply heard.
